Our garden is in zone 9b, sunset zone 17. We are in the coastal belt so we tend to get more clouds and fog than nearby El Cerrito but we also get few to no frosts. Our front yard and back yard seem to be in two mini climates with the back getting shelter from the house and studio it is hotter. The front is pretty windy and looking west toward golden gate bridge.
